En décembre 2004, malgré la complexité et les craintes que cela représentaient, un Français, Jean-Yves Labat de Rossi, avait réussi l'exploit de réunir des musiciens d'Israël, de Cisjordanie et de Gaza, sur une même scène en plein cœur de Jérusalem. A la fin du concert, le projet d'une tournée en France était né.

Extraire les hommes du champ politique pour les faire se rencontrer dans celui du sensible ; démanteler le mur dans les têtes avant de le démanteler sur le terrain, telle est l'urgence. Cette aventure humaine est une utopie, sans laquelle entrevoir et croire à la possibilité d'une vie différente serait impossible.

Complice privilégié des musiciens, j'ai donc filmé ce que le public ne voyait pas derrière le succès de la scène. Malgré les tensions, j'ai été témoin de nombreux rapprochements, nuancés pour certains, édifiants pour d'autres. Libres et francs, les musiciens m'ont donné l'occasion de vivre une expérience bouleversante dont j'espère, par ce film, transmettre l'essentiel.
